Mother’s Tea

Mothers day tea

Today my idea came to me 10 minutes before I had to leave the house to take Poppy to kindi. I think you will understand what I am talking about!

This may not be a surprise to some of you… but my posts are pretty spontaneous and fitted in between quite a tight schedule of kids pick up drop off.  What could be more special than a cup of tea with a little time for yourself?!! Bring on home made mother’s tea – made specially by your little munchkin!

Ingredients:

Loose tea ingredients e.g. dried camomile, raw ginger, tumeric or lemon slices (stored in the fridge), cinnamon sticks etc… whatever your Mum enjoys relaxing with.

Method:

  • Tie your ingredients in a small muslin square or little tea pouch. I found a packet of great tea pouches from Burgon and Ball.

How kids can help:

  • Ask your kids to choose what they think their mum would enjoy for their mother’s tea
  • Your child can fill a pouch/ muslin square with loose tea/ spices. Tie.
  • If the pouch has a tag, this can be decorated 0r a label can be added – hearts always go down well!
