This year’s bonfire night is particularly special for me – it’s the first time we are taking the kids to a bonfire party! I remember them so distinctly from my childhood – the sticky toffee apples, warmth of the blazing fire and the spectacle of fireworks. Playing with friends and staying up late – it’s got to be good news for everyone! (Except Mum the morning after…..)
Here is my round-up of some of my favourite bonfire night food:
- Toffee apples – or chocolate apples or even healthier date toffee apples
- Honey roasted mixed nuts
- Toffee Popcorn
- Parsnip crisps
- A warming mug of pumpkin soup or leek and potato soup
What food do you associate bonfire night with? I’d love to hear your favourites.
Enjoy your feast however you enjoy November 5th!
