Home Made Bread Crumbs

There should be no need to throw anything away in the kitchen. Breadcrumbs is a classic example of how it is possible to turn something old into something perfectly new and save you money! Breadcrumbs are really easy to make and a great way to use up old bread.

  • Simply remove the crusts with a sharp knife, then cut into rough chunks
  • Blitz in your food processor until the breadcrumbs have reached the size you are after
  • Store in an air tight container – they will usually¬†last for weeks if they are dry or you can freeze in portions.

Tip: To make your breadcrumbs last longer gently bake your bread chunks in the oven to fully dry them out
