Mini Kids Christmas Puddings

Raw Christmas Pudding

These little raw (mostly) kids christmas puddings are really fun to make and are sure to surprise even the fussiest of Aunties and Uncles and you don’t even have to turn the oven on! Wrap them up in a little cellophane and tie and pretty bow – BAM job done!

40g Raisins

40g Sultanas

40g Cranberries

40g Walnuts or other nut roughly chopped

20g Currants

10g Cacao nibs

30-40g White chocolate melted

A table spoon on pumpkin seeds

10 Goji berries chopped

Makes approx. 8 walnut sized kids christmas puddings

  • Cut up your white chocolate and place in a small bowl over a pan of hot water (also known as a bain marie). Allow chocolate to melt, string only occasionally
  • Add your raisins, sultanas, cranberries, currants, walnuts and cacao nibs to a whizzer and whiz until la arge crumb texture which ‘comes together’ when you squeeze it together
  • Squeeze into walnut sized balls then chill in the freezer for approx. 10 minutes (optional)
  • Drizzle the white chocolate over the top (the freezer chilling makes the chocolate set faster) and decorate with pumpkin seeds and chopped goji to represent holly
  • Store in a cool place

Options: Omit walnuts to make a nut free version. Play around with similar ingredients such as dates and adjusting the quantities of raisins etc.. to suit preferences and availability in your cupboard! As long as the mixture binds it will work fine.

How kids can help:

  • Measuring the ingredients
  • Breaking up the chocolate
  • Stirring the chocolate
  • Squeezing the mixture into balls
  • Drizzling the chocolate over the balls
  • Arranging the ‘holly’
  • Enjoying the pleasure of giving…
