Pear and Berry Smoothie

Pears are heavenly… but it is so hard to catch them at their perfect moment – fortunately they are in abundance right now. If you have a couple of perfectly ripe pears in your fruit bowl right now, here is the ideal pear and berry smoothie for you.

Ingredients:

150ml Almond milk or coconut milk

1 Large ripe pear roughly chopped

100g Banana roughly chopped (approx. 1/2 a medium banana) or you could use frozen banana

50g Berries, raspberries or blueberries or again you could use frozen fruit

Method:

  • Place all your ingredients in a jug and blitz

Options: If it’s a hot day add some ice to your ingredients before you blitz or use frozen fruit

How kids can help:

  • Popping your ingredients into your jug
  • Pouring your smoothie into glasses
  • Taste testing your pear and berry smoothie
